eLearn Australia has just completed Stage 1 of the online course for trainee Health care workers across the Kimberley.

The development project was commenced in February with a collaborative team of UND lecturers and eLearn Australia educational designers and developers.  Six units of competency from the Health Services training package were incorporated into a highly interactive and engaging virtual hospital.  The Maryanne Martin Hospital was christened by the students in honour of one of the heroines of nursing inthe Kimberley.

Our project approach

eLearn Australia's elearning and online products are practical, competency-based and learner-focused. • Programming  using tools such as Flash, Dreamweaver, PHP / MySQL, ColdFusion, ASP
• Programming to International Web standards  including
  • XHTML and CSS for compatibility across all browsers & operating systems, e.g. Apple, Windows
  • W3C standards of accessibility to ensure the ability to use aids for the visually and hearing impaired and other disabled users.

The continuous improvement plan consists of a consistent design and development process used to ensure product integrity and feedback and evaluation forms and processes to ensure that the product is fit for purpose.
